I’m Joanie, crocheter of many decades. 😊 That either ages me or sounds like my official crochet tribal name. Whatever the case, if you’re here to crochet then you are my tribe!
I’ve always loved to make things by various means, but crochet was one of the first crafts I learned as a child and the one that I have always come back to. It’s creatively fulfilling, fairly quick and easy, and quite practical!
I never set out to design/write crochet patterns – it just kind of evolved. The more I crocheted, the more ideas I had. So I started tinkering. Fast forward a few years and I have so many projects that I’ve had such fun creating that I decided to make this little home for them.
Most of what you will find here is what I would call modern classic – not too trendy as to be passé in a few years, and not so traditional as to be passé from the get go. I’m also all about ease. If you think you can’t read crochet patterns, I promise you will be able to read mine. They are written in a step by step format with minimal abbreviations, and most of them also utilize only basic crochet stitches and their variations so that just about anyone can work them up. That is not to say they are simplistic or that you won’t learn anything, just that I do my best to help you crochet something to completion without tearing your hair out!
