So Much Yarn ~ So Little Time

That could be my epitaph. Most people have a project in mind when they shop for yarn, but I tend to fall in love with the yarn, buy enough to make a large blanket (just in case), and figure out what to do with it later. I would be embarrassed to admit how much I have in my stash, but if you crochet (or knit), you know!

I’ve always been a crafter – name just about anything and I’ve done it – but crochet was one of the first crafts I learned as a child and the one that I still come back to. It’s creatively fulfilling, fairly quick and easy, and quite practical! What’s not to love? Oh – and you can learn it on the cheap – a basic hook, some yarn, YouTube, and you’re good to go!

I never set out to design or write crochet patterns – it just kind of evolved. The more I got into crochet, the more ideas I had. So I started tinkering. Fast forward a few years and I have so many projects that I’ve had such fun creating that I decided to make this little home for them.

I would describe my style as modern classic – not too trendy as to be passé in a few years, and not so traditional as to be passé from the get go. I’m also all about ease. Most of my patterns utilize basic crochet stitches and their variations so that just about anyone can work them up. That is not to say that they are so simple that you won’t learn anything, just that I do my best to make sure you’re not tearing your hair out while you do!

Thanks for stopping by my little dot in the universe! I will endeavor to regularly add to this collection so please come by anytime to check out what’s new. I do hope you will find something you love!

All my best for your creative success! Joanie
